A woman with many feathers in her cap - Mrs. Angel Averette Powell dons multiple hats being an Alabamian by birth, child of God, fortunate mother and wife, gifted wordsmith, inspiring guide, viral name across socials, and a flourishing proprietress who was well aware of her literary calling way back when she had barely stepped into teendom. She has meticulously crafted thirty storylines with 32 drafts.

Mrs. Powell dared to dream big and founded Crown Yourself Production Publishing, which was born out of the ashes of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Seeking to revolutionize literature and film, CYPP is an outlet where innovators can maintain artistic control over their work while reaching a wider audience through our professional marketing strategies, allowing creatives to thrive without barriers. CYPP is more than just a publishing/production company, it’s a movement.

In the fall of 2021, Mrs. Powell courageously published her first book, Let’s Talk About It, under the CYPP imprint. In her debut book, Mrs. Powell creates a safe space for her readers to confront their skeletons and begin healing through the stories of seven women. Let’s Talk About It, is the heartening story of open dialogue between seven women, who embark on a path toward recovery from past wounds and deep-seated issues. These ladies confront their personal and global traumas at Betty’s Cafe, where every voice matters and a safe space for healing is created; showcasing the strength found when women come together to support each other on their path toward growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Mrs. Powel’s book has seen remarkable success, with over 200 copies sold independently through her company’s website and book signing events. She recently was recently honored with the prestigious I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings award, presented by No More Tears Inc. in recognition for her outstanding literary work as the voice for the voiceless.

Currently, she is spearheading a relaunch campaign for the book while preparing to release its sequel alongside a cookbook dedicated to her father, The Late Mr. James (Jimmie) Averette. Mrs. Powell continues to pursue her passion for writing, using her platforms to share love, faith in God as well as motivational quotes that encourage and inspire her supporters. Through her writing and entrepreneurship, Mrs. Powell embodies the power of resilience and determination, demonstrating that anything is possible with belief in oneself and in God.
